Your Perioral Filler appointment will begin with a consultation to discuss your concerns, previous filler history and the result you would like to achieve. Janine will assess the lines around the mouth, your natural lip shape, skin quality and facial movement before recommending the most suitable approach.

The treatment involves carefully placing dermal filler in selected areas around the mouth to help soften fine lines and support the skin. Because this is a delicate area with lots of movement, the focus is usually on subtle improvement rather than adding obvious volume.

In some cases, Janine may discuss whether another treatment could support your result, such as lip filler, lip hydration, microneedling, skin boosters or a tailored skin treatment plan. This will depend on whether the main concern is volume loss, skin quality, fine lines, dehydration or a combination of factors.

Some swelling, tenderness or bruising can happen after treatment, and the area may feel slightly firm while it settles. Janine will provide clear aftercare advice, including what to avoid immediately after your appointment and when to get in touch if you have any concerns.

Perioral Filler is not suitable for everyone, and treatment will only go ahead if Janine feels it is appropriate for you. You may be advised to delay treatment if you are unwell, pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active infection, have an active cold sore, have certain medical conditions or are taking medication that may affect suitability.
