Your Thulium Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment will begin with a consultation to discuss your skin concerns, medical history, previous treatments, skincare routine and what you would like to improve. Janine will assess your skin and explain whether this treatment is suitable for you.

During treatment, targeted laser energy is passed across the skin to support renewal and rejuvenation. The treatment is often used where the aim is to improve skin clarity, brighten uneven tone and refine the overall appearance of the complexion.

You may feel warmth, prickling or a mild snapping sensation during treatment, depending on the settings used and your individual sensitivity. The skin may look red, feel warm or appear slightly darker in areas of pigmentation afterwards as it begins to respond.

Results are usually gradual rather than instant. Some clients may notice a fresher glow after one treatment, while concerns such as pigmentation, texture or sun damage may require a course of treatments for best results. Janine will advise how many sessions may be suitable for your skin.

After treatment, you may be advised to avoid heat, steam, active skincare, exfoliation, tanning, sunbeds and direct sun exposure for a period of time. SPF is especially important following laser treatment, as the skin can be more sensitive to UV exposure while it heals.

Thulium Laser Skin Rejuvenation is not suitable for everyone. Treatment may not be recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, recently tanned, have an active skin infection, have certain medical conditions, are taking photosensitising medication or have a history of problematic pigmentation or scarring. A full consultation and patch test may be required before treatment goes ahead.
